Londorossi Gate
Trailhead
Lemosho approaches from the west, starting in genuine wilderness with far fewer trekkers than the southern routes. Its extra days give the best acclimatisation profile of any standard Kilimanjaro route, translating into one of the highest summit success rates on the mountain — the trade-off is simply time, which this eight-day itinerary builds in properly.
