Booking, payment, cancellation, travel-document, insurance, safety, liability and force-majeure terms for Silence of Nature Africa Limited.
1. Booking confirmation
A booking is confirmed once the required deposit or full payment has been received and Silence of Nature Africa Limited has issued written confirmation. The person making the booking confirms that they are authorised to accept these terms for every traveller named in the booking.
2. Payments
Payments must follow the schedule stated on the invoice or booking confirmation. Approved methods may include bank transfer, card or another agreed method. Bank, card, currency-conversion and transaction charges are the clientβs responsibility unless confirmed otherwise in writing.
3. Cancellation by the client
For cancellations received more than 25 days before the safari start date, the company policy supplied to us states a 100% refund of payments received. For cancellations 14-24 days before departure, it states a 50%-70% refund depending on non-recoverable accommodation and supplier charges. For cancellations 13 days or less before departure, it states no refund.
Where practical, we may offer postponement to a later date, subject to availability, supplier terms, seasonal price changes and written agreement. Refunds cannot exceed amounts actually recovered from suppliers where the written booking agreement makes those costs non-refundable.
4. Changes requested by the client
Changes to dates, routes, accommodation, names or activities are subject to availability. Supplier fees, fare differences and additional administration or operating costs may apply.
5. Changes by the company
We aim to operate the confirmed itinerary but may make reasonable changes because of weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park regulations, safety concerns, supplier failure or other operational circumstances. Comparable alternatives will be offered where reasonably possible.
6. Travel documents and insurance
Clients are responsible for valid passports, visas, vaccination evidence, permits and insurance. Comprehensive travel insurance should cover cancellation, medical treatment, evacuation, personal accident and loss or theft. Failure to obtain required documents or insurance does not create a right to refund.
7. Exclusions
Unless expressly included, prices exclude international flights, unlisted domestic flights, visas, insurance, personal purchases, souvenirs, telephone charges, pre- or post-tour accommodation and optional activities.
8. Health, conduct and safety
Clients must disclose relevant medical conditions, dietary needs and physical limitations. Participation is subject to guide, ranger, driver and lodge instructions. A guest whose conduct creates material danger or disruption may be removed from an activity without refund of unused services.
9. Liability and suppliers
We coordinate services provided by accommodation, airlines, parks and other independent suppliers. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Force majeure
Force-majeure events may include natural disasters, floods, epidemics, government restrictions, civil unrest, flight disruption and severe weather. Refunds or compensation are not guaranteed for such events; recoveries depend on supplier terms, insurance and applicable law.
11. Acceptance and review
Payment and written confirmation indicate acceptance of the booking terms. The PDF supplied by the company remains the source for the stated cancellation percentages. Because these terms affect legal rights, obtain review from qualified Tanzanian counsel before publishing or relying on this web version.
