Cancellation timelines, refund handling, postponements, supplier charges and travel-insurance guidance for confirmed trips.
Cancellation must be in writing
Send cancellation requests to the email address shown on your booking confirmation. The effective date is the date we receive the written request during Tanzania business hours. We will acknowledge the cancellation and identify any supplier charges.
Refund schedule supplied by the company
More than 25 days before the safari start date: 100% refund of payments received.
14-24 days before the start date: 50%-70% refund, depending on accommodation and supplier cancellation charges already incurred.
13 days or less before the start date: no refund.
Where a tailor-made quotation or supplier contract states stricter terms, those terms should be disclosed before payment and incorporated into the booking confirmation.
Postponement instead of cancellation
We encourage guests to ask about moving the trip to a later date. A postponement is subject to supplier approval, availability, park-fee or tax changes, seasonal price differences and a deadline for using the credit. A postponed trip is not automatically refundable.
Non-refundable services
Air tickets, permits, special event bookings, gorilla or chimpanzee permits, exclusive-use properties and some peak-season deposits may be non-refundable from the time of booking. We will identify known restrictions in the quotation where possible.
Cancellation or material change by us
If we cancel for reasons within our control, we will offer a reasonable alternative or address recoverable payments in accordance with the booking agreement and applicable law. Force-majeure events and supplier failures are handled under the Terms & Conditions and the client’s travel-insurance policy.
Travel insurance and legal review
Purchase cancellation cover as soon as practical after booking. This page reflects the company policy provided in the supplied Terms & Conditions PDF and should be reviewed by qualified Tanzanian counsel before publication.
