Situated amongst the ruins is a historical tree which available to climb for an extra fee. The ruins are popular with Western travellers as it provides a unique and beautiful insight into Kenya’s tribal past.

Situated close to Nairobi, the Bomas of Kenya is truly a unique and colourful experience. Offering a chance to see Africa’s diverse culture first hand, with performances of traditional dances, alongside the chance to try your hand at Kenyan crafts.
9. Lamu Old Town
Lamu Old Town, situated on Lamu Island, was an original Swahili settlement site, and now stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for modern travellers to learn and enjoy the African culture. The town is the best preserved example of Swahili architecture, and is often overlooked by travellers due to its relative anonymity, allowing for a day away from the high tourist rate of Kenya’s other attractions.
10. Observation Hill
Observation Hill, located in the Amboseli National Park, is a popular tourist attraction thanks to its stunning 360 degree views. You can even see the famous Mount Kilimanjaro from Observation Hill in the distance, allowing for some incredible Kenyan holiday snapshots to enjoy for years to come.
